Roles and responsibilities

Responsibilities generally include but are not limited to the following:

• Assisting the foreman to ensure all site safety requirements are fulfilled
• Performing the foreman’s duties when required
• Ordering adequate materials required to complete the project when required
• Organizing the workforce to complete the project in a cost-effective manner
• Effectively communicate project progress with all stakeholders

Qualifications/requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience as a drywall and acoustics journeyman or lead hand
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHSA requirements
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Problem solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid drivers license and vehicle
• Valid WSIB, Working at Heights, First Aid certifications, etc.
• Valid lift tickets
